Devonport, Southwest England

12 month contract (inside IR35)

We're recruiting for a Section Engineer to join a major infrastructure project in Devonport. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role on a complex, high-profile scheme within a collaborative delivery environment.

The Role

You will take ownership of a section of works, ensuring construction is delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards. Working in a client-facing capacity, you'll coordinate site teams and subcontractors while supporting overall project performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee site activities, subcontractors, and daily coordination of works
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, RAMS, and site procedures
• Review technical drawings and documentation, raising RFIs/TQs/NCRs as required
• Manage risks and support planning/programming of works
• Engage with stakeholders and contribute to reporting and project delivery

About You

• Minimum 2+ years' experience in a site-based engineering role
• Strong understanding of construction methods and project environments
• Confident communicator with the ability to manage stakeholders and teams
• IT proficient (MS Office; planning/document systems)

Qualifications:

• Degree, HNC or HND in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
• CSCS card (essential)
• SMSTS/IOSH, BIM or planning software experience (desirable)
