Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Recovery Worker, you will be the guiding light for a caseload of service users, helping them set and achieve their treatment goals. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
* Maintaining regular contact with clients to provide support and guidance.
* Offering advice, information, and psycho-social interventions.
* Conducting assessments and developing risk management plans.
* Collaborating closely with clinical staff and partner agencies.
No two days will be the same! Your ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of service users and colleagues, manage multiple tasks, and embody Turning Point's values will be essential. Whether you have lived experience of substance misuse, mental health challenges, or homelessness, or you come from a background in health and social care, we welcome you!
Who We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
* A solid understanding of substance and alcohol use, along with the challenges faced during recovery.
* Transferable skills from mental health, housing, or other health and social care sectors.
* Flexibility and the ability to work dynamically, both one-on-one and in group settings.
* Excellent communication skills and a shared commitment to our organizational values.

What We Offer
Starting salary is £25,116, with annual pay progression up to £29,383. Depending on your experience, you may even start at a higher salary!
