Receptionist - Emergency Department (Evening & Weekend)
Two posts are available:
* Post 1 - 13 hours per week (4pm–8pm Weekdays plus one Weekend 4pm–10pm)
* Post 2 - 6 hours per week (4pm–10pm Alternate Weekends)
We are looking to recruit an organised and methodical person with excellent communication and customer care skills. Flexibility to provide holiday and sickness cover for the Evening and Weekend Team, often at short notice, is also an important requirement.
Responsibilities include:
* Book in patients who self-present or arrive by ambulance
* Answer telephone enquiries
* Obtain hospital notes, photocopying, scanning and other clerical duties as necessary
* Maintain good IT and communication skills; ideally have working knowledge of the Patient Centre / Patient Administration System
* Provide cover for Bank Holidays within the shift pattern
Training and environment:
* A comprehensive training package will be provided to the successful applicant
* The Emergency Department runs 24/7; you may be required to cover shifts on Bank Holidays
