We are looking for a kind, enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming team at a wonderful school. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to children’s learning and development in a supportive and inclusive primary setting. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a Teaching Assistant:
* Supporting pupils in class, in small groups or on a one-to-one basis
* Working closely with the class teacher to deliver high-quality learning experiences
* Helping to prepare learning materials and set up classroom activities
* Encouraging pupils’ social and emotional development
* Supporting children with additional needs, where required
* Supervising pupils at playtimes and during transitions
* Creating a positive, safe, and inclusive environment for all children
Ideal Teaching Assistant:
* Has experience working with children (school, nursery or youth setting)
* Is positive, patient, and motivated to help all pupils succeed
* Works well as part of a team and uses initiative
* Understands the importance of safeguarding and child protection
* Has good communication skills and a nurturing approach
* (Desirable) Has a relevant qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning)
* (Desirable) Has experience supporting children with SEND
