A vacancy has arisen for a Flight Lieutenant Aircrew to serve as ASWC SO3 Air Safety Assurance at RAF Waddington on Full Time Reserve Service (Limited Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date from 07 September 2026, or earlier/later, subject to candidate status. ASWC SO3 Air Safety Assurance will be responsible to Commandant ASWC through the chain of command for the day-to-day management of the ASWC Duty Holder Facing Air Safety Management System, acting as SEMSCo for the ASWC and providing support to the No 1 Gp T&E Air Safety Team. Responsible for: Development and maintenance of the ASWC DH-facing ASMS and associated ASMP. Provide coordination of, and be the focal point for, DH-Facing Air Safety matters. Coordinating and standardising all DH-Facing Air Safety activity across the applicable Divisions within the ASWC. Conducting Air Safety 1PA of ASWC DH-facing units and conduct analysis of assurance activity to ensure compliance with regulation and procedures. Measuring performance of the DH-facing ASMS through agreed objectives, targets and performance indicators. Promotion of Air Safety across units in the supported divisions. Undertaking the duties of ASIMS Occurrence Manager for the supported sqns and divisions. Maintaining DH-facing divisional hazard logs and facilitating the mitigation and communication of these hazards to the relevant ADH chains. Undertaking SEMSCo duties for the ASWC. Acting as the Air Safety Officer for ASWC-organised air exercises (Cobra Warrior).
