The role
As a Commercial Specialist, you’ll be at the heart of a major nuclear decommissioning project, supporting high-value contract change activities with our end client.
Day-to-day, you’ll play a key role in identifying and mitigating risks, managing compensation events, and ensuring financial viability throughout the lifecycle of commercial quotes.
1. Supporting head contract change activities, including early warnings and compensation events
2. Reviewing and managing quotes to ensure financial viability
3. Guiding multi-disciplinary teams to mitigate future commercial risks
4. Applying NEC principles to ensure contractual compliance
5. Collaborating with stakeholders across the project to drive commercial success
This is a permanent role, working 37 hours per week, based at Warrington (Cheshire) or Bristol. Hybrid working patterns are available, with 2–3 days in the office.
Essential experience of the Commercial Specialist:
6. Previous experience in a commercial role, with change management exposure
7. Proven ability to guide multi-disciplinary teams and mitigate commercial risks
8. Strong working knowledge of NEC principles
9. Experience working on regulated sites
10. Familiarity with NEC guidelines in a project environment
Qualifications for the Commercial Specialist:
11. Relevant commercial or business qualification or equivalent experience
