Job Title: Secondary School Learning Support Assistant

We’re working with a friendly secondary school in Alnwick that’s looking for a committed Learning Support Assistant to join their team. This role is all about helping students navigate the ups and downs of school life—whether that’s keeping them on track with lessons, supporting behaviour, or just being the calm, reliable person they know they can count on.
What you’ll be doing:
1. Providing 1:1 or small group support across subjects
2. Helping pupils access the curriculum and stay engaged
3. Supporting behaviour and encouraging positive routines
4. Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff
What we’re looking for:
5. Experience supporting young people (school-based or similar)
6. A calm, patient, and approachable manner
7. Strong communication and adaptability
8. A genuine interest in helping students succeed, both in and out of lessons
