Fulbridge Social Care is recruiting both experienced and non-experienced Residential Youth Workers to join our casual team. The role involves working in children’s residential homes and Independent Living settings. We seek flexible, reliable, and interactive individuals who are eager to work in a specialist environment where full training and qualifications are provided to the right candidates.
The position involves providing security, guidance, interaction, and support to young people with challenging behaviour and complex needs within residential or independent living settings. The goal is to create an environment that caters to their intellectual, spiritual, social, and emotional needs.
You will work with young people aged 11 to 18 who are in the care system for various reasons and have diverse disorders, behaviours, and needs. Candidates should have the confidence, patience, and skills to work successfully with these young people and make a positive impact on their lives.
Responsibilities include supporting young people throughout the day with tasks like meal preparation, cleaning, education, and shopping. You will also interact with professionals such as Social Workers, Probation Officers, and Police Officers, and support young people in environments like classrooms, courts, and police stations.
A driving license is essential, as you will be required to drive the unit car and transport young people to destinations such as family contacts, school, and social activities.
Applicants must complete an enhanced DBS check with Fulbridge Social Care and successfully complete one of our induction programs before placements are offered.
