Kepak St. Merryn in Merthyr Tydfil has combined beef and lamb processing and packing facilities. We offer beef and lamb products ranging from retail ready cuts for butchers’ counters to branded packaged meat, all as part of our service; raised on open pastures, sourced from local farmers and hand-selected by our master butchers, we produce beef and lamb products with integrity and unmatched quality assurance.
We are currently recruiting for a Management Accountant to work in our busy Merthyr Tydfil site. This is a hybrid vacancy with the option to work from home 2 days per week.
Requirements
* Monthly reporting of actual v budget fixed costs and variance explanation in line with group deadlines
* Reconciliation of balance sheet, raising & posting of accruals & prepayments supporting the month end close process
* Ensure fixed cost actuals, budgets and forecasts are owned by budget holders
* Assist the preparation of annual fixed cost budget
* Strong proactive business engagement to ensure accurate and reliable results
* Prepare forward looking forecasts for the site
* Supervision of the Purchase Ledger team, to ensure timely & accurate processing of invoices & payments.
* Ensure a sound financial control environment
* Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures
* Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
* Ensure accuracy of reporting data
* Business partner with Operations team
* Respond promptly to queries from business representatives
* Share critical information in a timely and appropriate manner
* Evaluate and flag risks and opportunities to help the business understand and mitigate/maximise these
* ACA / ACCA / CIMA Part Qualified
