We’re excited to be partnering with a world class innovation and research centre as they embark on an exciting growth journey.
The Senior Buyer is a newly created position within a greenfield Procurement team, that will support the Head of Procurement and wider team in delivering first class procurement activity and develop robust systems and processes across the group.
Responsibilities
* Take responsibility across the cradle to grave procurement process for a variety of goods and services, owning the category strategy, supporting supplier onboarding, and monitoring procurement systems.
* Lead on all areas of the purchasing process and be the key interface for stakeholder groups, managing relationships with scientists and professors.
* Develop robust systems and processes across the group to support procurement activity and the wider team.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Broad experience across procurement categories with the ability to lead on all areas of the purchasing process.
* Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
* Location: Oxford-based with on-site requirement of a minimum of 3 days per week.
* Right to work permanently in the UK.
