Duty Manager – Sizewell C – Enabling & Earthworks / Delivery – Suffolk Site Based
About the role
Be part of a once‑in‑a‑generation project delivering clean energy to 6 million homes. Sizewell C will create a 3.2 GW nuclear power station on the Suffolk coast, providing reliable low‑carbon electricity.
What you’ll be doing
* Manage construction works for the Civil Works Alliance during extended shift patterns.
* Lead the construction & engineering teams, delivering time, quality and budget.
* Organise and monitor programming and progress of the works.
* Coordinate engineering and construction teams.
* Maintain strong relationships with the client and statutory stakeholders.
* Ensure seamless handover to the follow‑on shift and complete record keeping.
* Work variable shift patterns (back shift/night shift/weekends).
Who we’re looking for
* Prepare and review method statements, risk assessments, inspection & test plans.
* Manage scheduled shift pattern and handover from prior shift.
* Supervise works to ensure safety compliance.
* Monitor inspections, as‑built, visit works throughout the shift.
* Maintain high personal safety and environmental standards.
* Maintain good working relations with client, regulators and supply chain.
* Attend coordination meetings.
* Ensure drawings and specifications contain sufficient accurate information.
* Confirm in writing verbal instructions received from clients/designers.
* Maintain comprehensive records of resources employed.
* Ensure engineers complete inspection and test plans as required.
Requirements
* Relevant training and experience in construction project management.
* 42 hours per week.
* Experience managing extended shift patterns.
