Location: Remote - flexible in being able to visit Marlow/London adhoc when required Department: Data Services Line Management: Yes - 6 Direct reports Are you a seasoned data professional ready to lead a high-performing team and shape the future of data strategy? Kensington is looking for a dynamic Data Services Manager to join our Data Services team and play a pivotal role in delivering scalable, high-quality data solutions that drive business success.
About The Role
As our Data Services Manager, you¿ll:
1. Lead and mentor Data Engineers to deliver innovative data products.
2. Support day-to-day operations and deputise for the Senior Data Services Manager.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and improve advanced data solutions.
4. Champion data governance, quality, and compliance across the organisation.
5. Provide technical leadership in data engineering, BI, and analytics across domains like Mortgage Originations, Servicing, Securitisations, and Finance.
6. Influence architectural decisions as part of Kensington¿s Technical Design Authority.
Key Responsibilities
7. Drive Agile delivery and continuous improvement.
8. Oversee peer reviews and ensure engineering excellence.
9. Manage resource planning and project delivery in collaboration with PMO.
10. Promote a culture of risk awareness and regulatory compliance.
11. Guide the team in adopting DataOps and engineering best practices.
Key Skills and Experience
12. 10¿15 years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering, BI, or Analytics.
13. 2+ years in a leadership or management role.
14. Deep expertise in Microsoft Data Platform (SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS), Power BI, Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, Databricks.
15. Strong grasp of data governance, privacy, and compliance.
16. Proven ability to design hybrid cloud/on-premise data architectures.
17. Experience with CI/CD, DevOps/DataOps, Git Repos, and Infrastructure as Code (Bicep or Terraform).
