Avencia Talent Solutions is recruiting for a Marine Claims Adjuster in Leeds to join a specialist team handling a diverse portfolio of marine liability claims for a well-established insurer.
The successful candidate will manage low‑value marine liability claims originating from the London market, working closely with the London Claims team and reporting to the London‑based Claims Manager. You will support a high‑performing team dedicated to excellent service for brokers and insureds across a broad marine book.
Role
* Handle a portfolio of low-value marine liability claims from first notification through to settlement.
* Work closely with the London Claims team to ensure consistent handling, reserving and service standards.
* Maintain strong relationships with brokers, insureds and external partners, providing clear, professional communication throughout the claims process.
* Support the wider claims function by sharing insights, contributing to process improvements, and upholding the organisation’s claims philosophy.
Qualifications
* Experience handling marine liability claims (essential).
* Good knowledge of the insurance market and claims processes.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively.
* Clear written and verbal communication skills and confidence engaging with brokers and clients.
* A collaborative mindset and a proactive, solutions-focused approach to work.
* The ability to analyse claims information, identify trends and elevate issues appropriately.
