Workshop Controller
Nathaniel Cars is a family owned franchised Motor Dealership representing MG. Do to recent expansion we are currently seeking a Workshop Controller to be based at our Bridgend branch.
You will be responsible for the day to day running of a very busy workshop, which regularly has 50 to 60 customer bookings a day. Previous experience of running a workshop or a service management position with a smaller team will be essential to this role.
Role and Responsibilities:
· Assign tasks to technicians to ensure productivity and adherence to deadlines.
* Scheduling work to meet customer needs, taking into account workshop targets, the complexity of each job and the availability of parts.
* Monitor the quality of the work carried out, ensuring it meets standards (including warranty standards) and customer expectations.
· Act as a point of contact between the workshop and other departments, addressing queries and facilitating communication.
· Oversee the performance of technicians, providing coaching and development opportunities.
* Ensuring that all work complies with DVSA, health and safety and manufacturer policy, as well as company standards.
· Ensure that health and safety standards are upheld within the workshop environment.
· Manage workshop resources, including staffing, equipment and inventory to optimise operations.
* Managing and coaching a team of vehicle technicians and apprentices, making sure targets and business objectives are met.
* Maintain strong relationships with all departments and customers.
· Manage all aspects of the day to day operations of the workshop.
* Making sure all servicing work is carried out correctly, competently and on time, with customer satisfaction in mind.
The ideal candidate will:
* Have previous dealership experience in either a Service Manager or Workshop Controller position.
* Be focused on achieving goals; you will possess excellent interpersonal skills and will be able to communicate well with customers and colleagues across different departments, both face-to-face and via email.
* Enjoy working in a fast paced, process driven aftersales environment and have strong organisation skills.
* Have the ability to Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced busy working environment.

Job Type: Full-time
Hours: Monday to Friday 8.00am to 5.30pm, Saturdays on a rota basis.
