A retained client of mine in the Computer Vision space are expanding their core team and looking for a new Computer Vision Engineer to join them from their central Manchester offices.
The role sits within their client engineering team, working closely with customers, their internal team of ML engineers and the data / QC team within the firm, working on analysing datasets and model training.
It's a hands-on role working on some quite complex and rewarding problems within real-world scenarios.
Some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
* Training and evaluating Computer Vision models for use cases
* Analysing large datasets to identify errors and areas for improvement (video / image data)
* Investigating performance issues for root-cause analysis
* Working on Python scripts for dataset analysis and model testing
* Supporting deployment of ML models into production
To be successful you should:
* Have good experience coding in Python and using AI tools for coding - Cursor / Copilot / Claude
* Have good knowledge of machine learning frameworks, such as TensorFlow or PyTorch, ONNX/TFLite
* Strong general engineering skills around algorithmic solutions for AI model development and integration
For graduates within the North-West:
* PhD in Computer Vision – graduates and candidates with 0+ years of industry experience are welcome
* MSc in a Data Science – candidates will need 2+ years of hands‑on industry experience working with ML or computer vision systems
