Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fitter to join our dynamic team, producing trailers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in using hand and power tools, along with mechanical knowledge to effectively assemble various components. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a warehouse environment, ensuring that all products meet quality standards before they are dispatched.
Duties
* Assemble components using hand tools and power tools according to specifications and drawings.
* Conduct quality checks on assembled products to ensure they meet required standards.
* Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
* Collaborate with team members to improve assembly processes and efficiency.
* Report any defects or issues with materials or equipment to the supervisor promptly.
* Assist in the inventory management of parts and materials as needed.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in assembly work, preferably within a warehouse setting.
* Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications.
* Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
* Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
* Good communication skills and a proactive attitude towards problem-solving.
