As a Maintenance Engineer at EMR Oldbury, you will be part of a team ensuring the plant operates at optimal levels, minimizing downtime, and meeting all internal maintenance demands efficiently and promptly.
What You Will Be Doing
Our maintenance team members are crucial to our depots; their expertise in reactive and planned maintenance prevents operational standstills. You may perform various maintenance activities to ensure plant efficiency. Experience in a heavy industrial environment is advantageous.
Additional Duties
* Perform mechanical maintenance and repairs on machinery and services
* Operate machinery safely after training, including start-ups and shutdowns
* Ensure equipment safety and report malfunctions promptly
* Support continuous improvement by liaising with production teams
* Complete dynamic risk assessments and address defects
About You
* Time-served Mechanical Fitter/Engineer
* Experience in manufacturing or processing industries
* Strong problem-solving skills and familiarity with PPM systems
* Knowledge of dynamic risk assessments and team briefings
* Level 3 apprenticeship or equivalent qualification
* Welding and fabrication experience
