A rare and exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Specialist Dietitian (WTE 0.4) is available within the Neuro-Rehabilitation Service (NRS) based within Inverclyde Royal Hospital, Greenock. We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and passionate individual to join our close working interdisciplinary team.
NHSGGC’s Neuro-Rehabilitation Service provides specialist Neurological care to patients with a diverse range of Neurological conditions. This service is delivered across two units providing inpatient care at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Glasgow and a seamless care model from Inverclyde Royal Hospital, Greenock, where this post is based.
Within Inverclyde NRS, we pride ourselves on our seamless service, with all AHPs covering the inpatient unit whilst also delivering care to patients with a Neurological diagnosis living in the Inverclyde HSCP in a range of community settings. A strong focus is placed on rehabilitation, enablement and long term self-management following patients’ seamless journey through episodes of care. The caseload can be complex, diverse and demanding allowing for professional growth and development of extended MDT working.
This post will build on the excellent dietetic provision with specialist management including Nutritional Support and Enteral Feeding and the complex issues related with Anticipatory/Future Care. Within Inverclyde there are recognised close working partnerships with HSCP and third sector agencies. This post holder will be expected to
lead on dietetic service developments in liaison with dietetic colleagues in Acute, Neurology and HSCP services in reference to NHSGGC, Statutory and Professional bodies’ Best Practise guidelines.
Applicants should have experience working in the field of Neurological Rehabilitation and management of long term conditions along with evidence of developing leadership skills.
