Job Description:
A Children’s Social Worker is required to join Dudley’s Looked After Children Service. This is a great opportunity to be part of a close-knit team.
Primary Responsibilities as a Children’s Social Worker:
You will work with children looked after from 0 – 18, taking responsibility for children and young people after they have a care plan agreed which means they need to be looked after. You will work with children and young people with complex care plans, including areas of court work around the discharge of care orders. Additionally, you will engage children and young people to participate in their care planning, and you will need skills in safeguarding investigations and assessment. You will also benefit from robust management support, regular monthly supervision, team meetings, and weekly group check-ins.

What we are looking for in a Social Worker:
To be successful in this role, you must have Social Work England registration, be eligible to work in the UK, hold a full UK license, and have post-qualified experience. Additionally, you should hold a degree level or equivalent qualification in Social Work.
