We are seeking a Global Category Manager for Finished Goods to lead our procurement strategy within our global manufacturing network. This key role within the Global Procurement team involves developing strategic plans that align with business needs, managing supplier relationships, and driving continuous improvement.
Responsibilities include:
* Developing and implementing comprehensive category strategies aligned with business objectives.
* Managing relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers to support strategic goals.
* Executing sourcing strategies, including RFPs and negotiations.
* Overseeing supplier performance and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
* Ensuring ESG targets are met within the supplier base.
* Potentially managing a team of Strategic Buyers to ensure timely execution of plans.
Qualifications and skills:
* Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic procurement or sourcing, ideally in a regulated industry, with MCIPS Level 6 or equivalent.
* Degree in engineering, business, economics, or related field.
* Strong understanding of category management principles and experience with e-procurement tools.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
* Analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and develop actionable insights.
* Experience working in a multicultural, matrix organization environment.
