The Role
You will work directly with operational teams to understand their processes, identify key performance metrics, and build well-structured Power BI models and dashboards.
Responsibilities include:
1. Gathering requirements from transport, warehouse, and supply-chain stakeholders
2. Preparing and modelling data from multiple systems (TMS, WMS, ERP, telematics, EDI)
3. Developing interactive Power BI dashboards with clear storytelling and strong user experience
4. Creating optimised semantic models and DAX measures
5. Validating data accuracy and ensuring report reliability
6. Deploying dashboards via the Power BI Service and supporting end-users
Skills & Experience Required
Essential
7. 2+ years of hands-on Power BI development
8. Strong DAX, Power Query (M), and data modelling capabilities
9. Solid SQL skills
10. Experience transforming messy operational data
11. Understanding of logistics KPIs (OTD, fleet utilisation, warehouse performance, inventory metrics, etc.)
12. Strong analytical ability and excellent attention to detail
13. Confidence engaging with non-technical stakeholders
Desirable
14. Experience with logistics systems (TMS, WMS, ERP, telematics)
15. Knowledge of ETL tools, Microsoft Fabric, SSIS/SSAS, or data-warehouse concepts
16. Exposure to EDI data flows
17. Consulting or client-facing experience
