Your new role
You’ll lead the month end process, strengthen financial reporting, and act as a trusted partner to operational teams. This role suits someone who thrives in a fast‑paced SME environment and wants to play a key part in shaping future performance.
1. Take responsibility for preparing monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow
2. Provide clear, concise analysis to support operational andmercial decision making
3. Support budgeting and forecasting cycles
4. Work closely with operational teams to help them understand performance and cost drivers
5. Assist with pricing reviews, margin analysis and cost monitoring
6. Promote strong financial discipline across the business
7. Maintain and improve day to day finance processes and internal controls
8. Contribute to developing dashboards, KPIs and reporting improvements
9. Support ongoing enhancements to finance systems and reporting tools
10. Help manage cash flow and working capital
11. Oversee payroll, supplier payments and credit control
12. Ensurepliance with statutory and HMRC requirements
13. Support year end processes and liaise with external accountants
What you'll need to succeed
14. Qualified finance professional with strong post qualification experience - CIMA, ACCA
15. Proven month‑end ownership and business partnering capability
16. Background in SMEs within manufacturing, engineering, distribution, logistics or similar would be a huge benefit in this role.
17. Confidentmunicator able to simplify financial information for the wider teams.
18. Must have full UK working rights (no sponsorship)
