We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to join our finance team. Working 2 days a week (Thursday & Friday) the successful candidate will support the Finance Manager with day-to-day financial transactions and operations, assist with data entry, and help ensure the accuracy of financial records. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a professional environment and gain valuable experience in financial administration.
Responsibilities:
1. Maintain purchase ledger
2. Raising sales invoices and regular liaison stakeholder liaison
3. Preparing suppler statement
4. General finance administration as directed by the Finance Manager
5. Support the finance team with day-to-day administrative tasks such as data entry and document management
6. Cover of site weighbridge
7. Ensure compliance with internal controls and relevant regulations
8. Contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes and procedures
Experience:
9. Previous relevant experience in an administrative or finance-related role is desirable
10. Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, is preferred
11. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
12. Good numerical ability and problem-solving skills
13. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
14. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
