Job Role: Social Care Worker
Purpose of Role
To provide person-centred care and support to individuals in need, promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life in line with their care plans and organisational policies.
Key Responsibilities
* Personal Care & Daily Living Support
* Assisting with personal hygiene, dressing, and meals.
* Supporting service users with mobility and daily routines.
* Emotional & Social Support
* Providing companionship and emotional reassurance.
* Supporting social activities, community engagement, and inclusion.
* Health & Safety
* Monitoring health and wellbeing, reporting any concerns.
* Administering or assisting with medication (if trained and authorised).
* Following infection control, safeguarding, and health & safety policies.
* Record Keeping & Communication
* Maintaining accurate care records and reports.
* Communicating effectively with service users, families, and professionals.
* Safeguarding & Rights
* Protecting vulnerable adults/children from harm, abuse, or neglect.
* Promoting independence, dignity, equality, and respect at all times.
Skills & Qualities

Typical Requirements
* No formal qualifications required for entry (though NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care is preferred).
* Mandatory training (Safeguarding, Manual Handling, First Aid, Infection Control, etc.).
* Enhanced DBS check.
* Right to Work in the UK.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Temporary, Temp to perm, Zero hours contract
Pay: £12.85-£16.51 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Ability to commute/relocate:
* Nottingham, Nottinghamshire: reliably commute or be willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (preferred)
