Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the nursing team on the Coronary Care Unit (CCU). CCU is a 22-bedded unit caring for patients experiencing acute cardiac emergencies and is a primary PCI centre admitting patients from all over Wessex and the Channel Islands. It is part of the internationally renowned Wessex Cardiac Centre, with many consultants who are nationally and internationally recognized.

Detailed Job Description and Main Responsibilities
The main sub-specialties of admitted patients include:
* Interventional cardiology
* Heart failure
* Electrophysiology

We seek a candidate with a positive, proactive leadership style who is a team player passionate about staff development and delivering high standards of patient care. You should have significant experience in a relevant specialty, with the skills to lead and motivate a team of nurses and allied health professionals, working closely with the multidisciplinary team.

Person Specification
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience
* Qualified Nurse (Degree/Diploma)
* Registered nurse on the appropriate part of the register
* Significant post-registration experience, qualification, or training in the relevant specialty
* Ward management experience
* Knowledge of current issues within the acute health service
* Experience in an acute hospital setting
* Experience supporting/managing learners in practice
* Supporting colleagues to promote effective learning
* Clinical decision-making and judgment skills
* Commitment to the post and Care Group responsibilities
* Commitment to CPD
