About the Role
The Finance Analyst plays a vital role in delivering accurate revenue recognition and reporting. You will support strong financial processes, systems, and controls while providing detailed revenue analysis to inform strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Recognition & Compliance
* Ensure revenue recognition compliant with accounting standards.
* Maintain accurate deferred revenue schedules and manage required adjustments.
* Support statutory audits by providing timely and accurate documentation.
Financial Analysis & Reporting
* Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue reports.
* Conduct variance analysis on customer revenue and deliver actionable insight.
* Review revenue outturns and complete balance sheet reconciliations.
Process Management
* Lead month‑end close activities, including accrual reversals, deferred revenue releases, and journal postings.
* Maintain and enhance ERP systems and related processes.
* Collaborate with Finance Business Partners and Customer Account Managers to ensure accurate reporting.
Stakeholder Engagement
* Provide clear, timely financial information to internal stakeholders.
* Improve organisational understanding of revenue data, processes, and policies.
Qualifications & Skills
* Knowledge of revenue recognition principles.
* Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in ERP systems (Microsoft D365 preferable but not essential).
* Analytical mindset, high attention to detail, and the ability to work independently on time‑critical tasks.
Desirable
* Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools.
* Previous experience in revenue accounting or financial analysis.
* Confident communicator, able to work cross‑functionally.

* Salary – £36,911 - £43,063 (dependent on experience)
