Job Title: Business Analyst

JOB DESCRIPTION
* Develop and maintain regular performance reports covering artist/track performance, streaming pitching effectiveness as well as business performance KPIs.
* Conduct ad-hoc and in-depth analyses to support release planning, campaign evaluation, and audience segmentation for the top priorities.
* Deliver actionable insights to A&R, Marketing, and Leadership teams to support decision-making and strategy development.
* Monitor regular key industry, platform, and audience trends to identify emerging opportunities.
* Create reporting templates and frameworks in order to provide a consistent approach on how data is communicated across the business
* Partner with Engineering teams to ensure data pipelines remain accurate, reliable, and aligned with business needs.
* Participate in scoping and prioritizing analytics and data infrastructure improvements in the roadmap.
* Help document the dashboard requirements to improve data available from a self-service point of view.
* Test new data tools, dashboards, and features to ensure usability and accuracy before rollout.
* Support the education and adoption of new data tools, dashboards, and processes across teams.
Minimum Qualifications
* Experience in business insights, analytics, data reporting, or a related role within the music, entertainment, or technology industry.
* Familiarity with streaming, social analytics, commercial KPIs, or music industry and media data sources (e.g., Apple Music, Spotify for Artists, Chartmetric, Luminate).
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and translate them into clear insights and recommendations.
* Proficiency in BI and analytical tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI) as well as strong competency with spreadsheets and SQL or similar querying languages.
* Demonstrated ability to build and maintain recurring reports, dashboards, and analytical frameworks with a high level of accuracy and consistency.
* Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (e.g., A&R, Marketing, Product, or Engineering) to support data needs and resolve issues.
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to data integrity and continuous improvement.+
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working with data pipelines, ETL processes, or partnering closely with engineering teams on data infrastructure.
* Familiarity with streaming analytics, commercial KPIs, or music industry data sources (e.g., Apple Music, Spotify for Artists, Chartmetric, Luminate).
* Strong written and communication skills with the ability to present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Ability to work as part of a distributed global team.
* Passion for music, technology, and operational excellence.
