Internal communications officer
Salary circa £50k
Communications at Kensington and Chelsea Council has been transformed — and we're not done yet. We're recruiting an Internal Communications Officer who thinks differently: someone who uses the science of behaviour change to move people, not just inform them, and who can pick up a camera as naturally as they can craft a strategy.
What you’ll be doing:
You will lead on the design and delivery of behaviour-change campaigns for internal audiences, using frameworks such as COM-B and OASIS to set objectives, understand barriers, and measure impact. You will create engaging content across a range of channels, including e-newsletters and video, ensuring communications are aligned to the Council’s priorities. Working closely with HR, Organisational Development and strategy teams, you will support the clear and effective communication of transformation and organisational change activity.
You will develop inclusive channel strategies that reflect how colleagues engage with information, using insight to evaluate impact and continuously improve. You will also support wider internal communications activity and staff events, including the annual staff awards, and contribute to how we use digital and emerging AI tools to strengthen internal communications.
