We’re hiring: Education and Compliance Facilitator (Apprenticeships/Funded Learning). W@H Safety Solutions Ltd is seeking a strategic and quality-driven professional to join our team. This role supports the assurance and improvement of apprenticeship and funded programmes delivery across vocational areas—with an ongoing focus on Functional Skills. Reporting to the Funded Learning Manager, you’ll work to embed safeguarding, SEND, Prevent, and statutory frameworks into curriculum design, learner support, and operational practice.

Purpose of Role
To lead and support the quality assurance of apprenticeship and other funded learning streams delivery across vocational areas, with a focus on Functional Skills oversight. The role ensures that safeguarding, SEND, Prevent, and statutory frameworks are embedded in curriculum design, learner support, and operational compliance.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct QA reviews of teaching, learning, and assessment practices, ensuring alignment with DfE, Ofsted, and awarding body expectations.
* Support tutor teams in embedding inclusive strategies, British Values, and learner wellbeing into Functional Skills provision.
* Oversee the planning, delivery, and assessment of all funded programmes.
* Oversee the planning, delivery, and assessment of Functional Skills (Maths & English) across all funded programmes.
Compliance & Safeguarding
* Co-lead on safeguarding assurance, ensuring Prevent, H&S, and digital safety protocols are consistently applied.
* Monitor compliance with SEND and Equality & Diversity frameworks, ensuring provision meets statutory and best practice standards.
* Maintain audit-ready documentation and contribute to inspection readiness.
* Oversee assessment strategies across vocational areas, ensuring validity, reliability, and consistency.
* Use dashboards and learner data to identify trends, risks, and areas for improvement.
* Support internal verification and standardisation processes.
Operational Leadership
* Liaise with tutors and delivery staff to ensure provision is mapped to programme standards and learner needs.
* Contribute to policy development, CPD planning and delivery, and continuous improvement cycles.
* Lead on learner voice initiatives and integrate feedback into QA processes.
Initial Tasks
* Check quality of coursework by learners.
* Identify points to be raised by tutors with learners through Progress Reviews.
* Develop capacity of tutors in delivery (teaching and learning expectations, behaviour management and personal development including equalities).
* QA tutors in delivery (teaching and learning expectations, behaviour management and personal development including equalities).
* Identify and support students SEND needs alongside Cognassist.
* Develop course materials and activities to support tutors across a range of programmes.
* Coordinate and track functional skills delivery (maths and English) with BKSB oversight.
* Write and deliver reports on quality of education and outcomes (QIP/SAR) to governors.
* Write and deliver PD programme in foundation classes.
* Support appraisal processes for tutors.
* Write & delivery CPD on a range of areas including SEND, Safeguarding, Quality of Teaching and personal development.
* Identify and plan for priorities for improvement.
* Write action plans to address areas for improvement.
* Any other duties to help keep students safe.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
* At least Cert Ed in Teaching
* At least Level 3 Health and Safety Qualification
* Evidence of SEND training
* At least Level 2 Equality and Diversity
* At least Level 2 Functional Skills Maths and English
* Evidence of training in Safeguarding, Prevent and British Values
Preferred Criteria
* Experience of apprenticeships in Construction Industry or similar would be beneficial but not essential.
* Experience working within Ofsted and DfE compliance structured environments.
