We are seeking a high-calibre Receptionist & Administration Assistant to become the professional face of a prestigious Prep School in Slough. Starting in April 2026, this full-time, permanent role is perfect for a poised individual who excels at multitasking in a busy front-office environment. You will be the first point of contact for our vibrant school community, ensuring every visitor receives a warm, "at home" welcome while maintaining meticulous administrative standards. Responsibilities Act as the professional face of the school, managing the switchboard and all front-of-house enquiries Oversee pupil absence procedures and maintain accurate records via SIMS and Studybugs Manage school-wide communications via ParentMail and handle all incoming/outgoing post Ensure all visitors adhere strictly to safeguarding and sign-in protocols (InVentry) Provide high-level administrative support to the Head, Bursar, and Office Manager Qualifications and Experience Minimum of A-Levels (or equivalent) with strong literacy and numeracy At least two years of experience in a busy administrative or front-facing role Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Must have the right to work in the UK Salary and Benefits Competitive Salary (Negotiable for the right candidate) Term-time only (plus INSET days and 2 weeks) Supportive, collegiate working environment with professional development opportunities Term-time lunches and on-site parking provided How to Apply If you are a proactive professional ready to support an outstanding prep school, submit your CV now!
