Conveyancing Assistant Job Description We're looking for an enthusiastic and organised Conveyancing Assistant to join our residential property team in Liverpool. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with excellent administrative skills and a keen eye for detail who is looking to start or progress their career in property law. The successful candidate will provide essential support to our conveyancers, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of their caseloads. Key Responsibilities ?? Provide full administrative support to a residential conveyancing fee earner or team. Manage a high volume of client files, including opening, closing, and archiving. Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other third parties via phone and email. Prepare and draft standard legal documents, correspondence, and forms. Conduct property searches and handle post-completion tasks, such as Stamp Duty Land Tax returns and Land Registry applications. Process and track legal documents, ensuring all data is accurately entered into the case management system. Assist in managing diaries, scheduling appointments, and preparing for key deadlines. Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all regulatory and internal procedures. Skills & Qualifications ?? Previous experience in a legal or administrative role, with some exposure to property law, is highly desirable. A strong understanding of the residential conveyancing process is a significant advantage. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and friendly telephone manner. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment. High level of attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with a case management system is beneficial. A proactive and positive "can-do" attitude, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. A desire to learn and develop a long-term career in conveyancing.
