Key responsibilities of the role:
Support the education and social development of students, under the direction of teaching staff and the SEND team
Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning and boost confidence
Assist students with additional needs, including personal care and mobility support when required
Support teaching staff with lesson delivery, classroom inclusion, and maintaining records
Collaborate with professionals such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists
Promote a safe, supportive, and positive learning environment
What we're looking for:
Experience working with young people (school-based experience desirable but not essential)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A caring, adaptable, and proactive approach
Basic ICT skills to support student learning
Commitment to ongoing professional development
Safeguarding requirements:
All applicants must either hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS check
Further vetting checks will also be required in line with safeguarding policies
