Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Site Mechanical Supervisor located in the Service Centre in Hemel, covering sites across the UK and occasionally Europe. Reporting to the Site Services Support Manager, the role involves managing equipment dispatched to site and ensuring compliance with the company’s documented safe system of work.
What a typical day looks like:
* Complete necessary certificates for client handover and produce progress reports on project status as required.
* Supervise and direct employees and contractors to maximize profits while maintaining quality, health, safety, and environmental standards.
* Promote risk management practices, targeting ‘zero harm’ by identifying and controlling hazards.
* Ensure compliance with QHSE standards, conducting weekly toolbox talks and task briefings.
* Carry out and record site risk assessments, ensuring method statements are communicated and followed.
* Verify personnel competency, supervise Permit to Work systems, and ensure correct use of equipment and PPE.
* Monitor site activities, intervene when problems are identified, and promote safety and welfare.
* Report near misses and accidents to the Project Manager and liaise with clients as necessary.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
* Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and conscientious with strong attention to detail.
* Ability to work accurately under deadlines in a busy environment, demonstrating flexibility.
* Experience in mechanical installation of switchgear and supervisory roles.
* Preferred qualifications: Current SSSTS Certificate, UKATA Asbestos Awareness Certificate, Manual Handling Awareness Certificate, ESC Card.
