As an Associate Director in Mechanical Engineering, you will play a key role in Transformational Programmes for critical UK infrastructure, working on iconic engineering projects at home and abroad. We specialize in all aspects of mechanical engineering across sectors like Water, Aviation, Defence, Energy, Cities & Development, and Education. We provide industry-leading solutions throughout the project lifecycle, including client-side support and construction phases. If you're passionate about this industry, we want to hear from you.
Our current opportunities are based in our London office.
Your Responsibilities
* Own and lead teams undertaking technical design work following relevant standards and quality levels.
* Define project briefs, scopes, and lead bid proposals.
* Manage time and budgets to meet project milestones and deadlines.
* Collaborate with UK and overseas teams to deliver integrated design solutions.
* Set quality assurance standards in design.
* Develop and manage mechanical engineering capabilities within the practice.
Qualifications and Skills
* Chartered or Fellow Mechanical Engineer.
* Experience in leading design delivery, including multidisciplinary projects.
* Extensive water industry experience.
* Knowledge of mechanical equipment such as pumps, blowers, screens, and chemical dosing plants, with a good understanding of UK standards.
* Proven leadership in multidisciplinary delivery.
* Drive to expand AtkinsRéalis' client portfolio.
