This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the efficient management of our workforce in the newly established Supplementary Staffing Team. The Supplementary Staffing Assistant will play a crucial role in ensuring staffing gaps are filled and bank staff are supported through all stages of their employment.

The successful candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills to support bank staff at challenging times and collaborate with clinical teams. Microsoft Excel skills are required to extract data from the systems used and format the data for analysis. Knowledge of the working time regulations would be advantageous.

Our team operates in a hybrid manner; the successful candidate will have the flexibility to work from home or in the office. In-person presence is required and this post cannot be worked on a fully remote basis.

The successful candidate will be provided with a robust training programme on day one to support them to gain an understanding of NHS Scotland working practices and the processes followed by the Supplementary Staffing Team.

We have two fixed‑term posts available – one until 29th March 2026 and one until 3rd October 2026.
