As Communications and Partnerships Officer, you will play a key role in delivering an effective communications strategy, managing the day-to-day communications needs of the WOMEN’STEC team and ensuring internal and external stakeholders are continually updated and informed of our programmes, services and events. With a particular focus on partnerships and communications, you will be lead contact for our #NotJustForBoys Champions, building strong relationships with supporters and partners to spread awareness of our work and facilitate opportunities for collaboration, development and income generation.This job description is not intended to be exhaustive in every respect, but rather to define the fundamental purpose, responsibilities and dimensions for the role. Responsibilities

* Develop and implement an annual communications strategy for WOMEN’STEC, ensuring all stakeholders, internally and externally, are regularly informed and updated of our work.
* Preparating, designing and delivering key communications content (e.g. draft copy, infographics and digital content) for the WTEC website, posts on Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and LinkedIn, e-newsletters, targeting different audiences.
* Leading on communications activities around WTEC key events, taking opportunities to prepare and deliver creative media content including brief interviews, photography and short videos.
* Develop and implement structured processes for capturing impact data, case studies and visual content in collaboration with programme teams.
* Leading on the production of our annual report and impact card.
* Provide research to the senior management team upon request for marketing and communication purposes, including presentations, award submissions and editorials.Ensure consistency of brand identity, tone of voice and messaging across all platforms.
* Continuously seek creative ways to enhance WOMEN’STEC’s visibility, brand presence and stakeholder engagement.Monitor, evaluate communications performance, providing regular reports on engagement, reach and impact to inform continuous improvement.
* Represent the organisation at relevant events as part of the wider team, at times and venues as required, including evenings and weekends, and travel where required. Provide timely support and assistance to other departments when required.
* Actively contribute to staff meetings, leading on the communications and marketing agenda item.
* Lead on the stewardship of our #NotJustForBoys Champions, supporting their marketing teams with promoting the #NotJustForBoys message, linking them to our programme team for collaboration activities, and dealing with any other enquiries.
* Assist in all aspects of important fundraising and partnership relationships.Regularly showcase and profile achievements with our Champions network.
* Ensure that all activities linking WOMEN’STEC and our Champions are carried out in accordance with the values of our organisation.Support on media partnerships and liaise on press releases (including coordinating newsworthy events).
* Support income generation through the development of partnership communications materials, funding case studies and corporate engagement campaigns.
* Support the senior management team with partnership development (including developing partner resources, partnership evaluation, and ongoing relationship management).
* Inbox management: Manage the info@ email inbox, all website enquiries, and all messages to our social media inboxes and comments, dealing with stakeholder enquiries and responding quickly and helpfully.
* Maintain the Champions database, ensuring all records are up to date.
* Provide timely support and assistance to the wider staff team when required and be flexible in the above duties and any other additional tasks as may be reasonably assigned according to the changing priorities of the organisation.


Skills and Qualifications

* Degree in a marketing, business or another relevant subject OR 2 years experience in a similar role.
* Demonstrable knowledge or experience of digital marketing and communications including social media channels and websites.
* Demonstrable knowledge or experience of using tools for marketing and communications, such as Canva, Hootsuite, etc.Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Good planning and organisation skills including attention to detail, multi-tasking and time management; ability to work under pressure and balance priorities.
* Excellent IT skills, including use of electronic communications and proficient in Microsoft programmes.Willingness to learn and develop professionally.
* Demonstrable ability to take initiative and proactively identify new communications opportunities.Ability to develop effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and work collaboratively within a team.
* Experience of working within the community and voluntary sector.


Further Information

Salary: £31,537 per annum pro rata.The job is permanent (subject to funding), and we are open to a 4 or 5 day working pattern for the right candidate (28-35 hours per week).
