Looking for a challenging and rewarding leadership role in the engineering industry?
Join our client's team as an Engineering Services Manager and be part of a dynamic and innovative organisation. The Engineering Services Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all aspects of M&E system operations, both planned and reactive maintenance. You will manage and develop a team of technicians and service desk function.
* Reporting to Senior Management, you'll lead a team of skilled Technicians to manage all aspects of M&E system operations, planned preventative maintenance (PPM), and reactive maintenance.
* You'll be responsible for supervising the service desk function and coordinating small repairs.
* As a great communicator, you'll build positive working relationships with the Occupiers and manage and appraise direct reports in line with the company's policy.
* Ensure staff are suitably trained and regularly drilled on the safe and proper operation of all M&E plant and operating systems.
* Maintain accurate records of works completed and associated financial costs and ensure statutory compliance is maintained in line with site and company procedures.
* Hold a valid IOSH Managing Safely qualification.
* Possess a mechanical bias with a good understanding and working knowledge of M&E services.
* Be a team leader with demonstrable team management skills, capable of working effectively with people at all levels and handling contentious and challenging situations.
* Have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a multi-discipline hard and soft services environment in a managerial role.
* Have a good working knowledge of assets such as plumbing; HVAC systems, controls, refrigeration, and electrical/mechanical systems, including managing cooling towers.
* Possess prior experience with Building Management Systems.
* Hold HNC/HND/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
* Experience in recruiting, managing, and appraising direct reports.
* Experience in coordinating toolbox training and best practice drills.
* Ability to write and implement new processes, procedures, and business continuity plans.
