Starting Salary: £16.00 per hour (dependent on experience)

I have been requested to recruit a Stone Worker / Fitter to join our client based in Melksham.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on individual to join a growing and well-established stone manufacturing business. The role will involve working both within the factory environment and on customer sites, manufacturing and installing high-quality stone products including granite worktops, bathrooms and flooring.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for the manufacture, preparation and installation of stone materials, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards of quality, safety and professionalism.
You will work both independently and as part of a team to support the manufacturing process, assist with installations at customer premises, and ensure all company procedures and health & safety standards are followed.
Key Responsibilities
Manufacturing & Production.
Work as part of the production team manufacturing stone materials in the factory.
Use hand tools, polishers and machinery to cut, shape and finish stone products.
Ensure all manufacturing processes and procedures are followed.
Support other areas of the factory including polishing, cutting and preparing stone.
Assist with moving, lifting and handling stone materials safely.
Maintain a clean, organised and safe factory and yard environment.Installation Work.
Attend customer premises to install granite and stone products including worktops, bathrooms and flooring.
Transport stone materials safely into customer properties.
Fit, seal and finish installations to a high professional standard.
Clean work areas and remove excess materials following installation.
Complete on-site risk assessments and return documentation to the office.Logistics & Vehicle Responsibilities.
Assist with loading stone onto company vehicles for planned installations.
Drive company vehicles safely when required.
Report any faults or issues with company vehicles to the Line Manager.
Comply with DVLA regulations and company driving policies.Training & Development.
Participate in training and development opportunities.
Take part in professional development reviews and appraisals in line with company procedures.Candidate Essential Requirements
Experience in the manufacturing or production of stone, particularly granite or marble.
Hands-on practical experience using hand tools and polishers.
Good numeracy skills.
Basic computer literacy.
