About the Role
The purpose of the Regulatory Compliance Manager role is to manage and maintain a regulatory compliance framework, promoting a compliance culture across the business. This position can be considered as home based, office based, or hybrid working arrangements.
* Conduct periodic 2nd line monitoring reviews as detailed in the Compliance Monitoring Programme on a variety of 1st line activities performed by the business to ensure regulatory requirements are being adhered to.
* Contribute to and maintain the compliance monitoring programme.
* Create and maintain the Monthly Information pack (reporting) based on monitoring activities, summarising how effectively business units maintain controls and procedures to meet regulatory standards and ensure good customer outcomes.
* Build relationships with key internal departments; deliver feedback on monitoring results to enhance the reputation of the Compliance function.
* Analyse regulatory requirements and group policies, translating these into practical policies for Global Payments, and work with functional areas to implement and enforce them.
* Identify and implement regulatory enhancements through appropriate channels.
* Assist with incident management and regulatory reporting where rule breaches occur.
* Develop positive relationships with auditors.
* Ensure all correspondence, websites, marketing materials, and documents comply with regulatory requirements before approval.
* Maintain current knowledge of relevant regulatory changes and recommend improvements.
* Support relationship management with regulators (FCA, PSR, HMRC, NCA, etc.).
* Provide consultancy to the UK and Ireland business.
* Assist and collaborate with the Regulatory Compliance team, providing support as needed.
About You
* Proven understanding of relevant financial laws, rules, and regulations, including AML, and ability to apply them.
* Financial/regulatory compliance qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
* Experience within a second line or monitoring function is advantageous.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to objectively assess compliance standards and make recommendations.
* Sound reasoning and decision-making skills.
* Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships.
* High standards of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.
* Attention to detail.
* Proven IT literacy skills.
