Do you want to help create healthier workplaces and enable employees to thrive? Middlesbrough and Redcar & Cleveland Councils are looking for a motivated Public Health Practitioner to join our team.
You will deliver innovative programmes that connect health and employment. In this role, you’ll play a key part in developing and delivering programmes that support employers to improve the wellbeing of working-age populations, reduce economic inactivity, and promote healthy workplaces across South Tees. From workplace health initiatives to supporting the government’s Work Well programme, you’ll help shape interventions that make a real impact on people’s lives.
What you will do:
Deliver Impactful Interventions.
Develop and coordinate programmes that support employers to improve health and reduce inequalities linked to employment.
Use Evidence to Drive Change.
Apply insight and data to design effective, evidence-based initiatives.
Build Strong Partnerships.
Work with employers, stakeholders, and other partners to create healthier workplaces. Monitor and improve.
Track performance, share learning, and contribute to service development and commissioning.
Champion Health and Work: Stay informed on national and local priorities and translate them into practical action.
What we are looking for:
Experience in health improvement or related fields.
Strong communication and partnership-building skills.
A proactive, solution-focused approach with a passion for reducing health inequalities.

This role is part time working 22.5 hours per week.
