Are you a data professional with a keen eye for detail and a passion for using information to drive school improvement? Grace Academy Solihull is seeking a dedicated and highly organised Data Manager to join our team and lead our school’s data strategy.
The Role
As Data Manager, you will be at the heart of our school’s operations, ensuring that all statutory academic and pupil data requirements are met to the highest standards. You will manage and develop sophisticated systems for tracking pupil academic progress, attendance, admissions, and behaviour, providing senior leaders with the vital analytics needed to support both academic and pastoral excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Statutory Compliance: Oversee all statutory requirements, including school censuses, performance data checking, and the maintenance of admissions registers.
* Data Systems & Analysis: Design and lead a whole-school approach to management information systems (MIS), producing high-quality reports and analytics on attainment, progress, and suspensions to facilitate in-depth performance evaluation.
* Exams & Benchmarking: Collaborate with the exams team during results periods to produce vital analysis and manage pupil targets for KS4 and KS5.
* Training & Leadership: Deliver proactive training to staff, pupils, and parents on data systems while line managing junior data team members through our ‘cultivating excellence’ programme.
* Collaboration: Work effectively within the wider TLT data manager network, sharing best practices and taking direction from the Trust Data and Attendance Strategy Lead.
About You
The successful candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a thorough understanding of data protection (GDPR) and school data legislation. You should be comfortable working collaboratively across the Trust and possess the communication skills to translate complex data into accessible information for various audiences.
