Opportunities have arisen for several Fabricator / Welders to work eiter a Day shift or Backshift, to join an industry leader in UK's Building Services sector in Scarva, delivering a wide range of offsite-prefabricated, innovative, and sustainable building service solutions throughout the UK & Europe. Job Summary We require experienced Fabricators to fabricate a range of pipe arrangements to support a team of skilled welders. As a fabricator the successful candidates will be required to be on site each day within the fabrication/welding facility, fabricating pipe arrangements from shop drawings.
The ability to produce some or all types of welds,, TIG, MMA and MAG for assembly purposes would be required with the opportunity for the successful candidates to develop their skills to numerous welding disciplines and in house welding procedures.Dayshift: Mon: Thurs 7am - 5pm, Fri 7am - 4pm or Backshift: Mon -Thurs - Salary: Competitive depending on experience, 18% uplift for the Backshift.
Key Responsibilities
1. Fabricate pipe sets for various pipe diameters (typically carbon steel & stainless steel pipe ranging from 65mm - 500mm) from shop drawings.
Use of metal cutting and grinding equipment
2. Read and fully understand the pipe fabrication drawings for each project.
3. Ensure company welding procedures are adhered to and pipe preparation and fit up is carried out to the correct standard.
Essential Criteria:
4. Minimum of 3 year's operating as an established experienced fabricator.
5. Experienced working with various ferrous and nonferrous metals, pipes, flanges, and other components to complete various arrangements.
6. The ability to interpret welding procedure requirements.
7. Confident in understanding shop fabrication and assembly drawings
Desired Criteria
8. Previous experience as a pipe fabricator, producing a wide range of pipe arrangements.
9. Previous experience within a heavy fabrication, architectural steelwork or welding environment.
10. Experienced operating any of the following machines, Pipe Beveller, Plasma Cutter, Press Brake, TIG, MIG and MAG Welders and welding ancillaries, rotators etc.).
