Housing Manager
Temporary (12 months contract) part time (18 hpw), hybrid working
Up to £32,000 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience, skills and qualifications)

Join us as a Housing Manager at Home Group, in our awesome housing team in West Cumbria. You’ll be our face to face customer support to our estates, ensuring we provide safe homes and communities where people choose to live, while also ensuring our income is maximised.You’ll provide first class customer service, delivering our customer promise every day!
What you’ll do
1. Through visibility, engagement with customers and proactivity on our estates, you’ll really get to get to know our communities.
2. You’ll look after a number of patches and neighbourhoods (ably supported by our Community Housing Assistants).
3. Through visibility, engagement with customers and proactivity on our estates, you’ll really get to get to know our communities. This will help us to improve our local neighbourhoods.
4. Proactively managing anti-social behaviours in our estates, responding to customer queries and complaints.
5. Managing our voids process including liaising with local authorities.
6. Carry out estate inspections, engaging and meeting with contractors on site, as well as carrying out and recording the routine safety and compliance checks in our buildings and communities.

You have
7. You are experienced in the housing sector and understand housing management, housing law and in an ideal world, universal credit too!
8. You have, or are willing to work towards Chartered Institute of Housing Level 3
9. Passionate about delivering excellent customer service and have a genuine desire to help your customers.
10. This job can challenge, especially when we’re dealing with complaints, but your resilience will help you through.
11. Confident working with external partners and stakeholders such as local authorities, MP’s etc
12. Like being part of a team but appreciate that this is a role where you’ll spend most of your time working in our local estates.

The practical bits
13. This is a hybrid role and in an average week you’ll spend 60% of your time out in your community.
14. Although you’ll spend time in our neighbourhoods, we do get together regularly, we spend 1 day in the office in Maryport and some time working from home catching up on admin.
15. Flexible working hours / there may be some flexibility to adapt your working hours, do let us know about this when you meet us at the interview
16. We mainly work Monday to Friday and work occasional evenings to meet with customers. The great news is that you’ll be able to shape your own diary.
17. To get from A to B, you’ll need a vehicle insured for business purposes. The great news is that we’ll pay your mileage!
18. You’ll need a Standard DBS check done and we pay for that.
