Hays has partnered with a growing Professional Services Firm that is looking for a Business Development Executive to join their Marketing team in a newly created role.
Your role
As the Business Development Executive, you will work within the Marketing team, reporting to the Marketing Manager. Your responsibilities include managing and delivering a structured program of business development activities that support partners in developing new business through various channels such as face-to-face meetings, telephone, mail, and digital platforms. You will liaise with third parties like digital agencies, social media channels, and creative agencies to ensure smooth execution of BD initiatives. Additional duties include:
1. Generating ideas for BD initiatives and collaborating with service line heads to implement them
2. Assisting local partners with BD activities
3. Managing schedules
4. Reviewing and measuring the effectiveness of initiatives
5. Reporting monthly on deliverables
6. Developing and maintaining databases
7. Supporting the formation of the firm’s CRM system
8. Monitoring competitors to exploit opportunities
9. Maximizing sponsorship opportunities
10. Supporting the Marketing team in event attendance
Requirements
Previous experience in business development or marketing is essential, with knowledge of email campaigns, website maintenance, and social media channels. Experience within the Professional Services sector is key. Ability to travel to visit other offices is required. You should be proactive, confident in developing new business relationships, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
