Contract: Permanent Location: Wenvoe, Cardiff Working pattern: 13 hours weekly over 2 or 3 days. 4 - 6.5-hour shifts. Shift will include lone working. Mon – Sun, but predominantly Mon – Fri. He lives at home with his long-term partner, along with their two dogs and cat, and enjoys interests such as cars, science, and gaming. We are seeking a warm, patient, and reliable individual who can take a ‘professional buddy’ approach; building a positive relationship while motivating and encouraging the client to achieve his goals. The successful candidate will be proactive and flexible, supporting him to engage in meaningful activities, develop independence, and access opportunities that enhance his overall quality of life. A full induction and training will be provided. This role is subject to an Enhanced level DBS check. ESSENTIAL INFORMATION To join me as a Support Worker you will need to: - Be able to drive and have use of a car. Drive the family vehicle. Have experience of supporting a person with a brain injury. Enjoy working as part of a team. Be willing to register with Social Care Wales.
