0.521FTE Lecturer - Engineering - Welding and FabricationHours: 18.24 per week
Salary: £40,170 - £48,357 per annum pro rata - (Actual Salary £20,934 - £25,200 per annum) (dependent on experience)
Campus: Arbroath
We require an enthusiastic and motivated individual to teach in the curriculum area of Engineering. The role involves delivering high quality teaching and learning, both theory and practical, assessment of student work and all associated administration.
The ideal candidate will have an appropriate qualification, at minimum SVQ Level 3, have industry experience and a flexible and practical approach to teaching delivery in a variety of settings.
The ideal candidate would also have the L&D9 and L&D11 Assessor and Verifier qualifications or willing to work towards them. You will have experience of working in the welding industry and possess up to date knowledge of the sector and hold relevant qualifications. Ideally you will have teaching experience although it is not essential as full training will be provided.
This role requires a high level of professional knowledge, experience and understanding of the subject area and will involve delivering high quality teaching and learning, assessment of student work, and providing feedback to students.
The successful applicants will be an integral part of the team, responsible for developing learning and teaching materials and have an understanding of the curriculum areas
If successful Dundee and Angus College will help you to gain registration with the General Teaching Council Scotland (GTCS). The College will work with you and support you to achieve the qualifications and professional learning required for registration, you must be willing to undertake any training and development necessary to gain registration.
