Job Title: Course Leader in Digital Media Levels 1 & 2 Locations: Braintree & Colchester Two Exciting Leadership Opportunities in Digital Media at Colchester Institute! Are you ready to inspire the next generation of digital creatives? Colchester Institute is excited to announce two fantastic opportunities for passionate and innovative educators to step into leadership roles within our Level 1 and Level 2 Digital Media programmes ! We’re on the lookout for dynamic individuals who are eager to make a real difference—taking the lead on course content and delivering engaging, high-quality teaching across a variety of units in our FE Digital Media curriculum. If you’re enthusiastic about digital media and committed to empowering learners through creativity and education, we’d love to hear from you! About the Role: The role involves active participation in a wide range of teaching-related responsibilities across multiple units within the FE Digital Media programmes, including: Developing schemes of work Planning and delivering engaging lessons Conducting assessment and providing constructive feedback Leading student guidance and selection processes Offering one-to-one tutoring and academic support Promoting courses and representing the department at open events Demonstrating a commitment to the future delivery of evening classes (on-site and off-site), with a minimum requirement of one evening per week Essential Qualifications: Minimum of Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics GCSE 4 or C and above / CSE Level 1 / O-Level C or above / Level 2 Adult Numeracy or Literacy or equivalent. Education to Level 3 or above and/or a professional qualification in relevant subject area or equivalent Relevant Teacher training / completing within 3 years of employment or 3 years of the first available course. Essential Experience: Experience of leading courses and/or curriculum development. Effective and consistent high quality teaching experience within Further and/or Higher Education and is able to teach across a range of courses. Able to demonstrate experience of working with learners with a wide range of needs.
