Role Overview
A growing accountancy practice based in Hereford is currently seeking an experienced and ambitious Senior Accountant to join their team. Key Responsibilities
* Managing a portfolio of clients across a range of industries
* Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts and tax returns
* Supervising, mentoring, and developing a team of junior staff
* Reviewing work and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and deadlines
* Acting as a key point of contact for clients, building strong professional relationships
* Supporting the directors and stepping in to manage operations in their absence
* Identifying opportunities for business development and process improvement
The Ideal Candidate
* ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
* Proven experience within an accountancy practice environment
* Strong technical knowledge of accounts preparation and taxation
* Demonstrable experience in supervising or managing a team
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Commercially aware with a proactive and forward‑thinking mindset
* Ambitious and keen to progress into a leadership role in the future
