NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non‑clinical professions and job roles. This is a fixed‑term post for 12 months.
2 × 12‑month fixed‑term clinical fellow in dermatology.
These posts are fixed‑term 10‑session posts, one based at Glasgow Royal Infirmary and Stobhill Hospital and the other based at Royal Alexandra Hospital and Inverclyde Royal Infirmary. The posts are for 12 months.
These posts are intended for candidates who have experience and have obtained their MRCP.
Prospective candidates are reminded that these are service level posts and not deanery‑approved training posts.
The successful candidate would have access to a wide range of educational opportunities through the subspecialty interests of consultants within the Dermatology Directorate. Current subspecialty interest clinics include:
* Cutaneous surgery (including Mohs surgery)
* Skin cancer
* Post‑transplant dermatology
* Urticaria
* Photodermatology
* Contact dermatitis
* Bullous disorders
* Severe psoriasis
* Severe eczema
* Teaching
* Genodermatoses
* Paediatric dermatology
* Connective tissue disorders
* Lymphoma
* Hair disorders
Applicants who have not undertaken a UK foundation programme within 3.5 years of the advertised post start date may be asked to submit a Certificate of Readiness to Enter Specialty Training (CREST). The CREST form must be completed by a consultant who has worked with you for a minimum continuous period of three months whole‑time equivalent wholly within the 3.5 years prior to the advertised post start date for which you are applying.
