About the role: Porchlight is working with KIDAS to improve access to mental health support. KIDAS has identified a need for increased mental health support and advocacy for survivors of domestic abuse in their Kent and Medway services. Porchlight is committed to people’s experience of mental health services being consistently positive, and the new service will help survivors of domestic abuse to be better able to navigate the mental health support available in Kent.
This will be a small team offering support to refuge staff in working with people experiencing mental health challenges, as well as working with people in safe accommodation to build resilience and develop coping skills.
These posts, one covering North and West Kent and one covering South and East Kent, will be the start of building stronger relationships with our KIDAS colleagues so we are looking for outgoing, confident people with strong skills in working collaboratively across organisations.
We're seeking someone people‑focused, compassionate and trauma‑informed, motivated to create positive change and help others thrive, confident working as part of a multi‑agency team and skilled at building trust, communicating effectively and advocating for others.
Experience working with domestic abuse survivors and delivering CBT/DBT‑style interventions is desirable but not essential.
The role requires:
* A Level 3 qualification or above in mental health, health/social care, or a related field.
* A full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
* At least 2 years' experience supporting people with mental health needs in the community.
* Strong knowledge of local mental health services and community resources.
Porchlight is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk.
Working pattern: 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday with some flexibility required.
Contract type: Fixed Term until 31 March 2027
Interview date: 3rd March 2026
Please note, salaries are pro-rata for part-time positions.
